Botejyu will make its debut in South Korea |
Botejyu, which first opened in Osaka in 1946, will make its debut in South Korean in August 2011.
South Korea, a country in Eastern Asian that has no time difference with Japan, boasts is recognized worldwide for their high level of standard not only in the manufacturing industry such as electronic products, semiconductors, and shipbuilding, but in the service and intelligence industry as well.
The people of South Korea use chopsticks and eat rice as their staple food much like the Japanese. Although there has been increasing interest in Japanese food in recent years, the history of Japanese food in South Korean market is relatively short. Botejyu sees great potential in this market and thus, has decided to open a restaurant in South Korea.
Seoul is a world-class metropolitan city. A quarter of the South Korean population, 10 million, live in Seoul city and another 20 million or approximately half of the population live in the neighboring areas around Seoul. Botejyu will open its first restaurant in the D-Cube City shopping mall in Guro district. A prime location in Seoul city, this area consists of the Yeouido financial and administrative district and the digital industrial complex which houses many IT companies.
The first Botejyu restaurant branch in South Korea will open on 5th floor the D-Cube City which will open on August 26, 2011. This new shopping center is directly connected to Sindorim Station, which is used by 460,000 people every day. The shopping center will include a department store, a music hall, a hotel, restaurants, and much more and will be the largest commercial complex in South Korea. This branch will be our main branch in South Korea, offering a full line-up of products and adjusting the menu to fit the local taste buds.
We will be looking forward to seeing you there.
