“Botejyu” was founded as an okonomiyaki specialty restaurant in 1946 in the gourmet city of Tamade, Osaka. Since then, our restaurant has been supported by many customers for over 65 years and our restaurant name is now a registered trademark.

Our restaurant name “Botejyu” originates from the Japanese onomatopoeia of the sound “bote” of the okonomiyaki being flipped and the rhythmically sizzling sound “jyu” of it cooking on the hot teppan griddle. The common cooking method of flavoring okonomiyaki with mayonnaise that is widely used today was also first introduced by Botejyu. Today, we continue to value this “delicious sound” of our name by preparing each okonomiyaki with sincerity and devotion.

While preserving our long-established tradition, we are aware of the changing and diversified needs of our customers and are striving to meet their needs by creating new brands.

With our traditional taste and expertise skills accumulated since our establishment, Botejyu has now become the representative specialty restaurant for Osaka-style okonomiyaki in Japan. At Botejyu San, a restaurant specializing in okonomiyaki, teppan-yaki and charcoal grills, we offer a variety of creative cuisine and a wide selection of alcohol beverages in a sophisticated atmosphere. Botejyu Express is a fast food restaurant specializing in teppan-yakisoba. This restaurant offers genuine yakisoba made from our traditional homemade noodles and legendary special sauce and prepared dynamically in front of your eyes. The above three restaurant brands are currently being launched in both domestic and overseas markets.
