South Korea is a sovereign state in East Asia located on the southern portion of the Korean Peninsula at 38 parallel north (Military Demarcation Line). The official name is the Republic of Korea.
South Korea is a sovereign state that is separated from North Korea by the military demarcation line that runs across the Korean peninsula. The two countries are working towards a peaceful unification in the future. South Korea is neighbored by Japan to the east of the Japan Sea and People’s Republic of China to the west of the Yellow Sea. Approximately 20 million or half of South Korean’s population lives in the in Seoul National Capital area (Seoul and Incheon areas), one of the largest metropolitan cities in the world.
South Korea has shown remarkable economic growth in recent years, especially in the IT industries such as semi-conductors, telecommunications and computers. They are one of the leading industrialized countries that represent Asia. Historically, South Korea has deep economic and cultural connections with Japan and has a high affinity with Japan in many aspects.

Botejyu D-Cube City Branch Opened in Korea

Botejyu’s D-Cube City branch has opened in Korea!
D-Cube City opened on August 26, 2011 in the southwest district of Seoul city. Housing over 100 shops, it is now the largest shopping complex in Seoul.
In addition to Okonomiyaki, one of the representative food of Japanese cuisine, we offer a wide selection of authentic Japanese food from various regions of Japan such as Yakisoba and Teppanyaki.

Botejyu will make its debut in South Korea
Botejyu, which first opened in Osaka in 1946, will make its debut in South Korean in August 2011.
South Korea, a country in Eastern Asian that has no time difference with Japan, boasts is recognized worldwide for their high level of standard not only in the manufacturing industry such as electronic products, semiconductors, and shipbuilding, but in the service and intelligence industry as well.
The people of South Korea use chopsticks and eat rice as their staple food much like the Japanese. Although there has been increasing interest in Japanese food in recent years, the history of Japanese food in South Korean market is relatively short. Botejyu sees great potential in this market and thus, has decided to open a restaurant in South Korea.
Seoul is a world-class metropolitan city. A quarter of the South Korean population, 10 million, live in Seoul city and another 20 million or approximately half of the population live in the neighboring areas around Seoul. Botejyu will open its first restaurant in the D-Cube City shopping mall in Guro district. A prime location in Seoul city, this area consists of the Yeouido financial and administrative district and the digital industrial complex which houses many IT companies.
The first Botejyu restaurant branch in South Korea will open on 5th floor the D-Cube City which will open on August 26, 2011. This new shopping center is directly connected to Sindorim Station, which is used by 460,000 people every day. The shopping center will include a department store, a music hall, a hotel, restaurants, and much more and will be the largest commercial complex in South Korea. This branch will be our main branch in South Korea, offering a full line-up of products and adjusting the menu to fit the local taste buds.

The Botejyu Group will open our first branch in Korea, the Botejyu D Cube City branch, on August 26th in the D Cube City shopping complex located in Yeong Deung Po region in Seoul and directly connected to Sindorim station.
